1st edition of Mita Culinary Month announced in the Riviera Nayarit
- Babela’s, Hector’s Kitchen, Pacífico Grill Latino, and Punta Mercedes are joining together for a fabulous culinary experience by offering three-course menus from June 15 – July 15, 2019.
Four restaurants located in Punta de Mita in the Riviera Nayarit have joined together to participate in the first edition of the Mita Culinary Month, created by chefs Héctor Leyva and Iván Bautista, chef and sous chef at Hector’s Kitchen.
Babela’s, Hector’s Kitchen, Pacífico Grill Latino, and Punta Mercedes will present their culinary proposals from June 15 through July 15, 2019, with three-course menus brimming with texture, color, and flavor—a hallmark culinary offer from Punta Mita, Riviera Nayarit, one of the most recognized and awarded destinations in the world.
Chef Héctor Leyva commented that Mita Culinary Month celebrates the haute cuisine offered in the destination, ergo its importance. “The intent is to reach more palates and for people to know why Punta Mita in the Riviera Nayarit is a world leader. It’s not for nothing that gastronomy has always been one of the pillars of tourism promotion,” he said.

Meanwhile, Marc Murphy, director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB), said:
“We should celebrate that a restaurant encourages the development of the culinary communities that surround it and that it’s also an experience well worth enjoying as far as price-quality is concerned.”
