Riviera Nayarit inspires #LoveTravels® with Marriott International
- To finish up a month of celebrating LGBTQ+ pride, the hotel chain is offering unique activities at its resorts located in Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.
Marriott International is joining Pride Week offering unique activities at its luxury properties, The St. Regis Punta Mita and W Punta de Mita, both in the Riviera Nayarit.
Both properties are celebrating inclusion and inspiring the love of traveling in style with the hashtag #LoveTravels® together with other hotels owned by the Marriott brand around the world.
The St. Regis Punta Mita is already #TagApproved
The St. Regis Punta Mita, a luxury property located in the “Glamour Peninsula,” will celebrate with exclusive cocktails and lighting in the LGBTQ flag colors around the main areas of the hotel. For reservations, please call +329 291 5800.
The property is also celebrating this month that it’s been #TagApproved meaning it’s certified as LGBTQ-friendly (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer) and is on the list of over 1,000 properties that represent the best in the hotel industry.
Of note is the fact that last year The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort won the Gay Travel Award 2018 as the “most friendly LGBTQ2S+ beach resort in the world.”
W Punta de Mita on the list of GayTravel Approved Luxury Resorts
Not only was the resort part of the Gay Travel Approved Luxury Resorts, the W Punta de Mita participated this year in “Pride Vallarta 2019” as a partner.
The resort is also ending LGBTQ pride month on a high note by extending an invitation to its unforgettable “Beach Please” pool party on Sunday, June 30th, at its recently inaugurated adults-only pool—Wet, Too—a refreshing option with an ocean view. The celebration begins at noon with the first beats from a guest DJ, ending with spins by the house DJ right at sunset. Guests will enjoy unique Pride cocktails and different activations by sponsoring brands. Different areas of the hotel will be lit up that night with representative colors, ideal for highlighting its vibrant Huichol-inspired designs.
“There’s no doubt this will be one of the most-visited spots for the sexiest summer pics to share on social media,” according to a release.

Riviera Nayarit, a gay-friendly destination
The LGBTQI (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersexual) community on a world-wide level represents one of the segments with the highest growth index within the tourism industry that has a strong impact on the economy of the destinations.
The Riviera Nayarit has established itself as a viable destination for this sector, as it stands out for its efforts at inclusion and a tourism offer that includes infrastructure, culinary variety, quality, and luxury as part of its market diversification.
Of note is the fact that, as a result of these efforts, the Riviera Nayarit has been included in international publications as an example of a gay-friendly destination. The most recent articles have been published on the Advocate website, considered the premier gay news source in the world with more than 50 years of continuous publication in print.
Another article was published in San Francisco’s Curve magazine, where the Riviera Nayarit is mentioned as one of “Mexico’s Gems / LGBTQ-Friendly locales south of the border.” The article includes a vivid description of San Francisco (San Pancho), Sayulita, and W Punta de Mita.
