Fashion Show In Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit
- Alejandro Carlín, recognized fashion designer, presented his exclusive 2016 Cruise Collection in the most fashionable destination in Mexico: the Riviera Nayarit.
The fashionably exclusive 2016 Cruise Collection created by designer Alejandro Carlín was presented on September 22, 2015, at the luxurious Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit.
Marc Murphy, Director General of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau, was present at the event and assured those present the Destination will continue to be an inspiration.
“It’s an honor for the Riviera Nayarit to be a part of initiatives like these, which are very much in line with what we strive to communicate,” said Murphy. “The Riviera Nayarit is considered a fashionable lifestyle destination thanks to its unique natural environment and its luxurious hotels, resorts and restaurants.”
The designs were inspired in the beauty of nature and the ocean, hence the palette of pinks, yellows, blues and whites. Silk, satin and cotton were the main textiles used in this collection consisting of 19 designs, including two bathing suits.
A Liberty of London print was used on dresses, blouses and blazers in representation of nature, as well as lapis lazuli appliqués on a yellow silk dress with a gorgeously flounced skirt.
VIP guests in this most fashionable destination included Gabriela Romero, Natalia Esponda, Isa Jaime, Ninfa López Clariond and Sofía Rivera Torres. Mexican designer Alejandro Carlín also enjoyed the splendid “Sangre Cora” cocktail, created by Israel Díaz, the Riviera Nayarit’s Mixology Ambassador.
