3rd Taste Of La Cruz in the Riviera Nayarit

The largest and best-equipped marina in all of the Mexican Pacific will play host to 25 restaurants as they offer visitors and locals alike a taste of the Riviera Nayarit’s gastronomy.
Everything is set to celebrate the third straight year of the Taste of La Cruz, where bite-sized pieces of the Riviera Nayarit’s varied gastronomy will be on display and on people’s palates.
The largest and best-equipped Marina on the Mexican Pacific is found in the Riviera Nayarit, where 25 restaurants will congregate to offer their best menus to both locals and tourists alike.
The event will take place on January 18th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., during which time they expect to welcome even more than the 800 people that assisted last year’s tastings.

“This event came about in an effort to show our Marina clients all of the services available in the surrounding area. There are a lot of clients who come here and don’t know the region,” mentioned Rafael Alcántara, Harbor Master of the Marina Riviera Nayarit. “Many times the restaurants don’t have a direct line to the clients, so we decided to spin that around.”
Guests will pay $100 pesos to enjoy the event, which includes one free drink and as many tastings as they desire. There are new restaurants at this year’s happening, as well as new menus for restaurants that have already participated.
During the tastings, the music of Luna Rumba, Crazy Bitches, Latcho & Andrea and the Banderas Bay Jazz All Stars will be onstage at the Amphitheater. The event is not only for restaurant owners, though they will be the main focus, as there will be participation from other businesses as well.
“The support of the Riviera Nayarit CVB is key because sometimes it’s hard to get the word out about the events. The liaison with their communications office has helped showcase the ones we’ve organized with the CVB, which has helped all of us that work here in the Riviera Nayarit by letting the tourists know what’s going on,” said Alcántaro.
The event is open to the public, which generates tourism as there are guests expected from different parts of Mexico as well as North America and Europe.
