Gourmet gastronomy on Mexico’s Pacific Coast
Celebrating 21 years of gastronomic evolution, the Festival Gourmet International is set to return to the pristine shores of Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit and Tepic, delighting taste buds from 16th – 22nd November 2015.
Arguably the most important culinary destinations in Mexico, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit have quickly positioned themselves at the pinnacle of international cuisine. During the distinctive gourmet festival visitors will have the opportunity to encounter someof the world’s most elite chefs, in an unparalleled setting, characterised by its natural beauty and striking landscapes.
Every night in mid-November, twenty-two diverse restaurants and partner hotels from across the regions will play host to master chefs from all over the world, charming visitors with surprising creations and delicacies. Restaurants taking part include the iconic Café des Artistes in Puerto Vallarta, Coco Tropical in Puerto Vallarta, Carolina at St Regis. Punta Mita Resort, Piaf Restaurant in 5* Grand Velas Hotel, Riviera Nayarit and Emiliano Cocina y Vino, located in Nayarit’s capital Tepic.
A wide range of events are scheduled during this annual festival, encouraging visitors to not only taste the delicious food, but also immerse themselves in the Mexican way of cooking. Proceedings kick off on Monday 16th November with an interactive cooking demonstration at trendy eatery La Leche, followed by a progressive Avant-Garde Dinner. On Sunday 22nd the festival is set to end on a high with the Fiesta del Mar and Theme Night at Sapphire Ocean Club, dubbed ‘Delights on the Ocean’.
As well as these notable occasions, a one-of-a-kind foodie experience can also be had through the variety of other workshops, wine/tequila tastings, themed nights and exclusive talks with culinary professionals on offer. Whether you have a gourmet degustation menu, dine ‘à la carte’, or get stuck in preparing dishes in the kitchen, a highly stimulating time with an exceptional ambiance is guaranteed.
