The CVB of Riviera Nayarit was in contact with 6,254 travel professionals in 2011
- The CVB worked intensely with travel agents and tour operators to position Mexico’s Pacific Treasure
This year, the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit worked intensely to maintain a continuous relationship with touristic industry professionals and their representatives, as they are the main promoters and sellers of our destination.
The Tour & Travel department of the CVB was in contact with 6,254 travel agents and tour operators after attending 11 events dedicated to travel specialists, where they dealt in person with those who directly influence the travel decision of tourists.
“At these marketing events, we provide travel agents, wholesalers, tour operators and industry professionals the tools to motivate the tourist to visit us and enjoy an experience throughout our State. We promote not only a visit to the 190 miles of beaches available in Riviera Nayarit, from Nuevo Vallarta to Novillero, but we also encourage them to visit to archeological sites like Los Toriles, typical towns like Jala, historical destinations like Tepic and Compostela, and we promote a direct contact with our origins in the Sierra, with the Coras and Huicholes tribes”, said the President of the CVB of Riviera Nayarit, Fernando González Ortega.
The CVB of Riviera Nayarit is a non-profit private association dedicated exclusively to promote tourism throughout the coast of Nayarit.
Nayarit has especially adequate conditions to position tourism as the axis of its development, not only for its privileged natural environment, but also because of the spectacular landscapes of the Mexican Pacific coast, as well as a number of historic sites. To promote Riviera Nayarit in the way that this CVB is doing is to promote a harmonious development that benefits all the people of Nayarit.
