The Riviera Nayarit Attends The 2015 Travel Media Showcase
- This is a fantastic opportunity to reinforce the Destination’s Public Relations efforts via the 25 confirmed meetings with specialized media from the United States and Canada; the Riviera Nayarit is the only destination from Mexico present at the event.
This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Travel Media Showcase (TMS), taking place from August 11-14 in the Bloomington, Indiana convention center. The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is participating as an exhibitor via its Public Relations department.
This event unites tourism industry leaders and press from the United States, Canada and other international destinations under one roof, with a successful one-on-one business meeting format to help analyze options including FAM trips, interviews and different ways of gaining more exposure.
The participation of the Destination is derived from the results and relationships established during the previous TMS Family Travel Summit held earlier this year in the Riviera Nayarit, which marked the first time the event has ever taken place outside the United States. On this occasion the Riviera Nayarit is the only Mexican destination present at the event and has 25 confirmed business appointments.
“The exposure and the new contacts were important, but more than anything it was the feedback we obtained during the Family Travel Summit that motivated us to continue working this type of events. We will undoubtedly reap even more benefits after this most recent participation,” commented Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit CVB.
TMS is an excellent venue well accepted by the industry, as it has been in business since the year 2000 and has become a popular meeting place for both sectors.
The exhibitors include tourism destinations, hotel chains, and airline and cruise companies, as well as other service providers. On behalf of the press there are editors, freelancers and journalists from all the current media platforms.
