Promotional Work Focuses On Argentina
- Argentine travel agencies educate themselves on the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta; the MICE segment was also reinforced during ExpoEventos in Buenos Aires.
In order to attend to the different Emerging Markets the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta’s Joint Promotional Campaign is targeting, the team recently turned its promotional efforts towards Argentina.
Nine travel agencies from Argentina visited the region from August 9-14, stopping first in Puerto Vallarta before continuing on to site inspections and training in the Riviera Nayarit.
The agencies included American Executive, Fragata Viajes, Turismo Cuello, Guajira Viajes, Free Port, Le Fam, Maynila Travel, Grand Club and Around Travel.
“These FAM trips for the new markets we’re working on must include a wide variety of activities to give the agents a significant number of tools to help them sell the destinations,” commented Marc Murphy, the Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.
To wit, there were several site inspections to hotels as well as ecotourism activities, tours through areas rich in cultural and traditional content, as well as plenty of time for shopping, visiting the beaches and enjoying the local cuisine.
ExpoEventos Buenos Aires
Both destinations participated in ExpoEventos in Buenos Aires from August 11-13 in order to strengthen the MICE segment (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions).
This encounter is a business endeavor that connects professional meetings, incentives, conference and exhibitions organizers with corporations, businesses, institutions, chambers and professional, scientific and entrepreneurial associations.
This is one of the top events in the Meetings Tourism industry in Latin America. One of the highlights is its Ronda de Negocios, or business meetings opportunities, between exhibitors and buyers.
