The coastal town of San Francisco, known locally as “San Pancho,” is hosting a weekend music festival with two events to entertain both residents and tourists in the Riviera Nayarit.

The first event is the 18th San Pancho Music Festival 2018, which takes place from February 23-25 in the town’s Plaza del Sol, just across from the parish, with the nightly presentation of regional, national, and international artists from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. There will also be plenty of food and drink for sale, as well as a select number of art and handicrafts.

What started out as a music festival among friends held in the back yard of a North American resident has grown into what’s now one of the top musical events in the region and a valuable cultural event in the Riviera Nayarit that continually attracts new tourists to the area and has a growing number of followers.

By this its 18th anniversary the Festival has significantly contributed to the town’s official designation as Nayarit’s Cultural Center. It also continues to be free to the public thanks to the generosity of the artists and volunteers, as well as donations from the public and friends of the event.

There are chairs available, however, they are on a first come, first served basis, so we recommend bringing your own chairs so you can comfortably enjoy an evening of good music and fun with your family and friends.
