Riviera Nayarit’s fun fact

During the Colony, the Spanish Crown established at San Blas -now part of Riviera Nayarit- a Custom House and a Treasure Office in order to keep the control of commerce because of the Nao of China arrivals to this port. That same commercial activity with the Filipines attracted many europeans to this region that also made German’s establish an Ambassy here.
