Riviera Nayarit is being promoted in Guadalajara
· In order to place our destination in the mind of one of the main markets in Mexico, our destination and Marival Residences met with travel agents associated with the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara, and attended a cocktail offered by the St. Regis Punta Mita
This month, the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit traveled to Guadalajara for the second time, aiming to attract larger numbers of tourists to our destination this summer by retaining an extensive visibility of our brand among leaders of the touristic industry in said city.
During the visit, the destination known as Mexico’s Pacific Treasure presented its competitive advantages to 28 travel agents affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara. The agents were surprised with the high-end hotel offers in our destination, and received information on many attractions and activities that are offered in Riviera Nayarit.
“They’re always amazed when we provide them information on the gastronomy, on the variety of activities that can be enjoyed in our destination, and even on some beaches that they didn’t know about, despite being so geographically close to Riviera Nayarit. They always appreciate the information because it allows them to better advise their clients”, said Carlos Eguiarte, Travel Coordinator and Promoter for the CVB of Riviera Nayarit.
These talks are the result of the joint work being made with Marival Residences, who was the first to approach the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara to introduce its specials for high-end tourism.
Furthermore, Riviera Nayarit attended a cocktail that the St. Regis Punta Mita organized in Guadalajara to introduce the novelties in their property. The event assembled not only the most important industry leaders in the Western states of Mexico, but also a large number of media specializing in tourism, which will result in a major exposure for our destination.
The CVB of Riviera Nayarit supports these initiatives by members of the Hotel and Motel Association of Bahia de Banderas, as they contribute to generate brand awareness and to position our destination in a market that brings a large number of tourists to our region.
According to a recent study, 59% of all people visiting Riviera Nayarit come from Jalisco, so efforts like these strengthen the presence of our destination at the main sales points of Guadalajara, which will undoubtedly translate into a higher occupancy rates for our destination.
