Journalists From Russia And Ukraine Explore The Riviera Nayarit
- The group visited the coast and enjoyed the many attractions of Nayarit’s capital, including some from its sister brands, Nayarit Colonial and Lagunas Encantadas.
The Mexico Tourism Board (MTB) organized a press trip with writers from Russia and Ukraine and handed the reigns over to the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) so they could take the European journalists on a tour of Nayarit.
“Our obligation is to position the Riviera Nayarit as a luxury and nature destination, but we also have a commitment with our state’s sister brands, which is why we took this press group on a visit beyond the coast of Nayarit,” commented Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit CVB.
Zintia Almaguer, MTB Director for Russia, the Baltic nations and the Commonwealth of Independent States, was on hand during the trip accompanying Marta Kulishenko, Editor in Chief at Yana Group and Victoria Meleshko, her counterpart at Russia’s Voyage Magazine.
“The Ukrainian company (Yana Group) has a magazine dedicated to luxury tourism and is also a tour operator in both Ukraine and Kazakshtan. Russia’s Voyage Magazine is an excellent publication with a lengthy resume within that country’s luxury tourism segment, so the Riviera Nayarit will be well covered for the upcoming fall and winter seasons,” said Zintia Almaguer.
Russia’s Voyage Magazine has been published since 1994, making it the oldest magazine in the country with the highest number of readers in the luxury segment; they currently publish 125 thousand issues 10 times a year.
Yana Luxury Travel has positioned itself for over 10 years as a travel, luxury and well being magazine for Ukrainian citizens. Its readers are at the top of the country’s socioeconomic ladder. The magazine publishes 12 thousand issues on a quarterly basis and is distributed via more than 100 strategically chosen outlets.
The press trip took place from August 15-22, 2016 and included visits to Punta Mita, Tepic, Los Toriles de Ixtlán del Río, Jala Pueblo Mágico, La Laguna de Santa María del Oro, La Isla de Mexcaltitán, San Blas, Sayulita Pueblo Mágico, San Pancho, Punta de Mita, Las Islas Marietas and La Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
