First 2017 Nuevo Vallarta Car Show

  • Over 300 cars and 100 motorcycles will participate in this exhibition in pro of Manos Azules por Nayarit, a group that helps children with autism, and Manitas de Amor por Bahía, which assists children in need by giving them food and education.

The first Nuevo Vallarta Car Show is all set to go from Saturday January 14th to Sunday January 15th of this New Year. The parking lot at the Centro Empresarial Nuevo Vallarta will host this new car and bike exhibit, which is the first multi-brand event of its kind in the region.

During a recent press conference organizers Carlos Rodríguez and Jorge Medina shared details on the event, which starts on Saturday at 6 p.m. with a parade from the Centro Empresarial to the La Pizzantería de Mezcales Bar, where the welcome party will be held.

The motorized vehicles will begin arriving Sunday morning at 8 a.m. to secure their parking; the evaluation will begin at 11 a.m. and the awards ceremony will take place at 2 p.m., ending around 5 p.m.

The categories include Classic, Euro, Tuning (Modified), Custom (Personalized) and motorcycles. The top 20 in every category will receive a commemorative trophy. Registration per car or bike is MX$200.

The general public can access this event and help with the cause for only MX$20 or one kilo of food per family. The money will go to Manos Azules por Nayarit, which helps children with autism, and the food will go to Manitas de Amor por Bahía, which helps needy kids with food and education.

There will be contests, car accessory sales, a kids’ play area and live music during the day.

The organizers have confirmed the oldest participating car as of press time is a 1934 antique Victoria. Participants are expected from Guadalajara, Celaya, Tepic, Bahía de Banderas and Puerto Vallarta, and an international panel of specialists from the United States and Canada will judge the event.
