The Mexican Secretariat of Tourism (Sectur by its acronym in Spanish) recently sponsored a contest to find Mexico’s 100 “Musts,” which consisted in nominating and voting for the best the country has to offer. The Riviera Nayarit is on this prestigious list with several wins to its name.
According to the official website, “A ‘must’ is not simply a recommendation, it’s a reminder to preserve the best our country has to offer.”
“Even though the Riviera Nayarit is a very young destination compared to Mexico’s historical destinations it has slowly but surely made a name for itself on the national and an international tourism stages,” said Fernando González Ortega, President of the Riviera Nayarit Hotel and Motel Association. “This type of recognition voted on by the people is a clear indicator that we are top of mind for tourists and this motivates us to keep going for more.”
