The New York Press Receives Updates On The Riviera Nayarit

  • Over 50 million potential impressions would be served to the destination between circulation numbers and unique monthly visits with just one published article per medium.

During the most recent tour headed by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Public Relations Department the team placed the destination on the road to obtaining more than 50 million impressions in the United States.

The possibility arose during a private cocktail for the New York press where the team worked with 11 reporters, editors and freelancers that together represented at least 20 publications both print and digital. All of those present had already visited the Riviera Nayarit, they knew the destination and had been receiving follow up in order to keep the brand uppermost in the collective memory of the US press and, by definition, that of their readers.

“The objective is to position the Riviera Nayarit as the first travel option in Mexico for the US market, and this can be possible as long as we continue to broadcast destination information in the right way. It’s challenging to do this across the board while at the same time targeting the content towards specific markets,” explained Richard Zarkin, PR Director for the Riviera Nayarit CVB.

All of those present were top-tier journalists, however, there were several media that stood out thanks to their extraordinary numbers. For example, has a circulation of more than 36 million; the Daily Beast has over 8.4 million unique monthly visitors; Fodor’s Travel has over 2.6 million unique monthly visitors; boasts over 3.8 million impacts and Vogue has a circulation of more than 1.2 million impressions.

The amount of impressions offered by these media fluctuates between 100 thousand and 500 thousand, which, when added to the previous media, adds up to over 50 million potential impressions.
