According To USA Today, The Riviera Nayarit Is Poised To Become Mexico’s Hottest New Destination
- Thanks to last December’s Eco Luxe FAM trip, organized by the Riviera Nayarit CVB, top travel journalist Mark Rogers—who contributes to one of the United States’ largest print and electronic periodicals, USA Today—published another article where he names the Riviera Nayarit as the country’s newest hot destination.
Mark Rogers, one of the most prestigious freelance travel journalists in the United States—and who is, in fact, a Mexico specialist—has recently published another article about the Riviera Nayarit in the country’s largest news media, USA Today, where he proposes the destination is set to become Mexico’s hottest vacation spot.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau coordinated Mark Rogers’ visit as part of the Eco Luxe FAM trip. Rogers has already published four pieces in USA Today from that one trip.
The article was titled “The next ‘Cancun’ of Mexico: 10 ways to explore Nayarit”, which was published the last day of September. In it he enumerates the reasons why the Riviera Nayarit is poised to become, in his words, “the country’s hottest new vacation destination.”
The highlights of the article included the hippie chic town of Sayulita and its eclectic shops, the romantic dinners and delicious cuisine, the diverse ecotourism activities, the amazing sunsets, the always available surfing waves, the unique Marietas Islands with their hidden beach, the ancient Huichol culture and the idyllic golf courses.
USA Today is the paper with the largest print circulation and the highest number of unique monthly visitors to its site with more than 23 million print copies per day and over 20 million unique visits to its portal.
Mark Rogers has also published articles on the Riviera Nayarit in other top-notch media such as Travel Age West. The four articles he published in USA Today add up to 150 million impressions—this is where the tremendous ROI of the FAM trip comes into play.
The influence of one top journalist such as Mark Rogers will surely inspire avid readers to visit a tourism destination that is just waiting for them with open arms.
