El Circo de los Niños de San Pancho by Zoom

  • This is an open invitation to the first virtual fundraising event for one of the most beloved projects in the “Cultural Capital” of the Riviera Nayarit. Donors will have the opportunity to interact with Gilles Ste Croix, founder of the circus.

El Circo de los Niños de San Pancho (Children’s Circus of San Pancho), located in the “Cultural Capital” of the Riviera Nayarit, extends an invitation to its first fundraising event. This time it will be hosted via the Zoom platform due to the health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the organizers, the event will be a “fun look back” at the last ten years of performances, classes and student testimonials, as well as an opportunity to meet the founder of the Children’s Circus, Gilles Ste Croix, live.

The event occurs on Sunday, March 21, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central Time (San Pancho time). At this time, in addition to sharing what this project represents for the “Model Village” of Nayarit, its children, and their families, the organization will request much-needed support to sustain the program and its professional team of instructors.

The announcement reads: “If you are a Dream Catcher donor or have ever attended one of our benefit shows as a Dream Catcher ticket holder or have always wondered how to be one, join us.”

The start of a dream

El Circo de los Niños de San Pancho is the only one of its kind in Mexico. Except for 2020, when the pandemic put a stop to the show, the Bodega Circo has been transformed each year into an elaborate and fantastic stage to showcase the talents of children and adolescents.

This extraordinary project was created in 2011 by Gilles Ste’Croix, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, who, after a 35-year career, settled in the village and began one of the most exciting adventures of his life.

Over the years, what began as an informal class at the EntreAmigos community center, grew into something more professional, with a team of qualified instructors and a growing number of students eager to be trained in the performing arts.

Circo de Los Niños has a mission to foster the holistic development of children and teenagers, enhancing artistic, creative, motor and communication skills, as well as the ability to take risks in a controlled and safe environment. The children selected to participate in the show live in San Pancho and Sayulita, and many of them have been part of the program since its inception.

Bodega Circo is located between the San Pancho Collective and the Entreamigos Community Center, in the coastal town known as the “Cultural Capital of the Riviera Nayarit.”
