Travel agents in Mexico City, Toluca, and Puebla updated on what’s new in the Riviera Nayarit

  • The CVB and the AHMBB increased the
presence of this tourist destination in the heart of Mexico and boosted the
arrival of visitors for the upcoming summer season.

The
Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Banderas Bay Hotel
and Motel Association strengthened their presence in the domestic market with a
productive promotional visit to Mexico City, Toluca, and Puebla.

Before
the health regulations triggered by COVID-19 in Mexico (currently in place)
began in the first week in March, this traditional tour was able to reach more
than 250 travel agents and meeting planners with an eye on the upcoming summer
vacations.

The
tour began with a breakfast presentation for 80 travel agents, among them a
considerable group of Virtuoso agents who were able to learn more about the
destination’s attractions and new hotel openings. They were pleasantly
surprised about the quantity and quality of the properties.

The
destination’s hotels also presented their news and promotions, among them: Vidanta
Nuevo Vallarta; Paradise Village; Occidental Nuevo Vallarta, Hard Rock
Vallarta; Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit; Marival Resorts; Dreams Villamagna;
Hoteles Riu; Hoteles, Decameron; Krystal Reflect,; Hotel Matlali; Casa María
Bucerías; W Punta de Mita; Palladium, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort; Four
Seasons Resort Punta Mita; Palmasola; El Pueblito Sayulita, and the newest
hotels opening soon like the Conrad Playa Mita and the One & Only
Mandarina.

The
team offered a breakfast for 40 agents followed by a lunch for 25 meeting
planners; the events were attended by DMC VTA Vallarta. The tour also included
a breakfast for 50 agents in Toluca, ending with an event for 60 travel agents
in Puebla.

The
Riviera Nayarit is becoming even more top-of-mind in the southcentral and
southwest regions of Mexico; this area is home to 30% of the country’s
population, making it a very important focus for attracting visitors to the
destination.

These
actions covered important and varied segments including luxury, corporate
travel, romance, and leisure, and the agencies stressed their clients’ interest
in traveling to the destination once the COVID-19 emergency has passed.
