Riviera Nayarit continues to promote quality services
- The Aquaventuras park received the Distintivo H award for two of its restaurants
Riviera Nayarit is a destination where the warmth of its people and the quality of the services they offer are essential to achieve the best possible travel experience. This is why the certification of touristic products is an important asset, and a constant objective for all the sectors of the touristic industry in our destination.
Recently, the Aquaventuras aquatic park in Nuevo Vallarta received the Distintivo H award from the Tourism Secretariat for two of its restaurants, thereby certifying the hygienic food handling at their facilities.
Improving touristic products and the travel experience of visitors is a primary responsibility for Riviera Nayarit, and the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of this destination is promoting and facilitating information to all touristic service providers regarding the various certification programs offered by the Federal Tourism Secretariat through the State Tourism Secretariat of Nayarit.
Efforts like the recent one accomplished by Aquaventuras, but in general by all the members of the Hotel and Motel Association of San Blas are an example of the importance that this issue has for the entire touristic industry of this destination, and they’ve demonstrated the importance that these certifications have through effort and hard work.
The award received by these venues is a result of the constant work being made in Riviera Nayarit to consolidate it as an appealing destination for tourists. In polls made in 2010, visitors rated their travel experiences as “Completely satisfactory”.
According to this study, the average rating for travel experience satisfaction was 9 out of 10 points, encompassing a 9.4 in hospitality, 9.1 in tourist safety, 9.2 in hygiene, and 8.8 in information availability.
The Distintivo H is an award granted by the Tourism Secretariat and the Health Secretariat to venues that offer food and drink (general restaurants, hotel restaurants, cafeterias, etc.) which comply with the hygiene standards set by the Norma Mexicana NMX-F605 NORMEX 2004 norm, whose fundamental purpose is to reduce the number of food borne illnesses among national and international tourists, and to improve the image of Mexico worldwide regarding food safety.
The CVB of Riviera Nayarit congratulates Aquaventuras for this important achievement, which will undoubtedly contribute to attract tourists to our destination.
