Riviera Nayarit charms at the 2019 Romance Travel Forum
- Mexico’s Pacific Treasure displayed its tourism infrastructure and multiple attractions to more than 300 travel agents, wedding organizers, and service providers from the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean.
The Riviera Nayarit hosted the 2019 Romance Travel Forum, where a select group of travel agents, wedding planners, and providers specializing in the Romance segment from North America and the Caribbean were introduced to the region’s tourism offer. The activities were held in conjunction with Puerto Vallarta between May 5th and 8th.
Romance tourism is one of the most consolidated segments; it also generates the most revenue due to the number of visitors it attracts.
Both the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta have attracted the attention of travel professionals as an ideal setting for weddings, honeymoons, and anniversaries thanks to its unparalled luxury, nature, and traditions.
Although this was the sixth edition of Romance Travel Forum this is the first time it was held in the Mexican Pacific and, of course, the first time in the region, according to Jennifer Fernández, vp of events for the Travel Show Marketing Group.
She commented agents are very excited to be visiting the destination; many of them hadn’t visited in years or were here for the first time, so it was a unique experience for them.

“We’re so excited to be here. We’ve been in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, but it’s the first time this event was held in this region so there’s a lot of excitiment around experiencing something different, the authentic Mexico, different hotels, and different brands that aren’t present in the Mexican Caribbean, so it’s wonderful to be here in the Riviera Nayarit.”
“Because we’re the organizers we arrived a few days earlier and had the opportunity to take advantage of the hotels and the fabulous and authentic food that we enjoyed so much. The sunsets are absolutely marvelous, I think I’ve never seen sunsets like that anywhere else. I would definitely recommend the Riviera Nayarit and I’m sure more tourists will arrive thanks to this event,” she reaffirmed.
The Romance Travel Forum was held at the Hard Rock Hotel with several activities scheduled for agents and wedding planners, including training sessions revolving around the products and destinations, unique networking opportunities, and a workshop with the participation of 90 expo companies from the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, and other parts of the world. Upon completion, the attending agents received a seal as Certified Romance Travel Experts.
