Condé Nast Traveller recommends the Riviera Nayarit for a winter getaway
- Sayulita, with its colorful, vibrant lifestyle and sunny, surf-filled days, was this prestigious magazine’s recommendation.
The UK edition of the prestigious luxury travel and lifestyle magazine Condé Nast Traveller has included the Riviera Nayarit among the 30 Best Vacation Destinations for November 2021.
Sayulita and its unique lifestyle, bursting with vibrant colors, great surf, and wonderful sunny days, was recommended in an in-depth article by writers Hazel Lubbock and Laura Chubb, published online on October 19.
“November means winter is fast-approaching in the UK, which equals getting up and going home in the dark, usually in the pelting rain (…) It’s almost NHS-prescribed, then, that you go on holiday if you’re to survive until the sunlight peeps through again around March,” they wrote.
Exotic destination
The publication suggests leaving behind the cold and humidity to go in search of the sun to an exotic destination in the Pacific and the Caribbean and has compiled a list of 30 magnificent international destinations, among them, the Riviera Nayarit’s “Surfing Capital.”
Thus, Sayulita found itself ranked alongside destinations such as Lisbon, Portugal; Iceland; Egypt; Patagonia; Nepal; Verbier, Switzerland; Phoenix, USA; Seoul, South Korea; Andalusia, Spain; Antigua and Barbuda, in the Caribbean; Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon, USA; and Hong Kong, among others. In addition to Sayulita, the article also mentions neighboring San Pancho and accommodations such as Imanta Resorts Punta de Mita.
