The Riviera Nayarit promotes its “fantastic four”

  • The Riviera Nayarit CVB and the local hotel industry hosted a series of promotional events in Guadalajara and its metropolitan area.

To continue motivating domestic travelers to visit the Riviera Nayarit, the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), alongside the local hotel industry, hosted a series of promotional events in Jalisco’s capitol, Guadalajara, and its metropolitan area.

The CVB presented its diverse tourism offerings to travel agents, wedding planners, and meeting planners for three days, including hotels and natural attractions. The CVB also shared information about local services for wedding ceremonies, anniversaries, and honeymoons as part of its “fantastic four” segments: Luxury, Romance, Leisure, and LGBT+.

Supporters of these promotional events included representatives from B Nayar, Decameron, Dreams Villamagna, Grand Matlali Hills, Grand Palladium Vallarta, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Hard Rock Vallarta, Iberostar Playa Mita, Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta, Maraica San Pancho, Marival Group, Occidental Nuevo Vallarta, Paradise Village, Riu Hotels, Samba Nuevo Vallarta, The St. Regis Punta Mita, and W Pinta de Mita. Also present were representatives from wholesalers Imacop, Naturleón, Record Vacation, Selección de Hoteles, and Ticket Operadora.

Marc Murphy, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), highlighted the importance of this type of event to reactivate the destination’s tourism.

“We had an excellent response from domestic tourism over the summer, so we are continuing to focus our promotion on this market in anticipation of the upcoming fall-winter season,” he said.

The agenda

On Monday, September 13, the promotional efforts began with a special event for 20 meeting planners and wedding planners from the “Perla Tapatía.” The CVB and representatives from nine Riviera Nayarit hotels presented the latest news for these segments that are already showing signs of recovery after the pandemic. Regarding the romance and LGBT+ segments, attendees highlighted the support received by the CVB in the form of courses and certifications for hotel staff and tour operators.

On Tuesday, the 14th, the CVB hosted 60 travel agents from the leisure segment. Seventeen hotels and five wholesalers participated in the event, where they met at worktables to update attendees on the destination’s tourism product.

The hotels and wholesalers offered attractive vacation packages created especially for this event. It is worth noting that the first results were immediate with the sale of two groups—one for November of this year and the other for the beginning of 2022—for two different hotels.

Lastly, the team held a special cocktail event and destination presentation for 35 luxury travel agents from various agencies in Guadalajara, some of whom are part of the Virtuoso network, along with four high-end hotels that presented their properties and premium services.

The Riviera Nayarit is a safe destination. Our hotels, restaurants, and tourist establishments follow all the health protocols established by the Federal Government’s Ministry of Health and operate at the allowed capacities. Access to the beaches is limited. Be a responsible tourist: wear your mask and keep your distance.
