Giorgio Armani launches new scent inspired by the Riviera Nayarit
- French agency PublicisLuxe chose Mexico’s Pacific Treasure and its inimitable natural scenery to shoot the advertising campaign for Acqua Di Giò Profondo.
What is the scent of the Riviera Nayarit? The answer to that question is, undoubtedly, contained within Giorgio Armani’s newest perfume, Acqua Di Giò Profondo, inspired by the deepest waters of the ocean and launched by an advertising campaign that was filmed in this tourist destination from April 26 through May 2, 2019.
The promo videos with model Aleksandar Rusic, the new face of Giorgio Armani’s marine universe, included the spectacular Islas Marietas, Isla del Coral in Rincón de Guayabitos; Playa Pátzcuarito in Sayulita; Playa Venados in Lo de Marcos; and Casa Tesoro in Punta Mita. The producers also included scenes from Atacama, Chile.
Kaleo’s tune “Way Down We Go” provided the soundtrack for the final cut of the campaign produced by French agency PublicisLuxe.
Return to nature
Acqua Di Giò Profondo was created by Spanish perfumer Alberto Morillas and is a blend of modern marine notes with aromatic essences that project an intense and masculine character.
The perfume invites man to reconnect with his masculinity with its refined navy blue color, a return to nature as inspiration, to disconnect, which is basically a liberation to reunite with oneself, and only requires one taking the risk, jumping and diving into those crystalline waters.
A filming location
This advertising campaign joins the more than 150 movies, TV shows, music videos, and reality shoes that have been filmed in the Riviera Nayarit over the past few years. The destination has indeed positioned itself in the movie tourism industry on a domestic and international level thanks to the amazing variety of landscapes and locations that lend themselves to filming.
In 2020 alone, the destination has served as the location for eight TV shows (series, documentaries, etc.), three short films, two commercials, and one music video, as well as three photo shoots for catalogs.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the Banderas Bay Hotel and Motel Association (AHBMM), and the Government of the State of Nayarit work together to offer services to producers and directors interested in our locations for their productions.
