  • The Travvy Awards are considered the “Oscars” of the travel industry and honor the best and the brightest companies, destinations, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, and tour operators.

Luxury and romance are the Riviera Nayarit’s calling card and a combination that has earned it one of the most prestigious international awards in the world: the Travvy 2019/Silver in the category of “Best Honeymoon Destination.”

The Travvy Awards are considered the “Oscars” of the travel industry, which is why receiving one of these statues and attend the awards ceremony organized by travAlliancemedia is considered a top honor.

This year close to 280 awards were presented during a gala held at Gotham Hall in New York City honoring the top travel companies that offer premier experiences within the 139 categories including destinations, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, and tour operators.

What makes the #Travvys2019 stand out from other industry awards is the winners are chosen by travel agents who work with and have direct knowledge of each of the nominated categories, companies, and organizations.

The Riviera Nayarit attracted the attention of travel agents thanks to an idyllic scenery perfect for destination weddings, honeymoons or wedding anniversaries—a matchless setting of luxury and nature.

“This achievement is a direct result of the work performed by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association to position the destination in the luxury and romance segments,” said Marc Murphy, managing director of both entities. “The support we have received on behalf of the Government of the State of Nayarit has been key to our success.”
