The Puerto Vallarta – Riviera Nayarit Joint Promotional Campaign is still hard at work in both destinations’ primary markets. This time around the team visited the states of Washington and Oregon, where they brought with them the latest tourism updates from this area of the Pacific.
The Promotions desks of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (Fidetur) led the event, accompanied by 12 hotels from both destinations, six wholesale tour operators and representatives from Alaska Airlines.
The activities took place November 16-17, 2016 with the full support of the Los Angeles office of the Mexico Tourism Board (MTB).
As a result, 100 travel agents and 30 travel executives from Costco travel participated in the training sessions that took place in Seattle and Portland.
According to the Riviera Nayarit CVB Barometer, Washington was the 5thstate of origin for tourists from the United States during the first half of 2106.
Seattle is Washington’s largest city and has direct flights to the region aboard Delta Airlines and Alaska Airlines; the latter connects Portland directly with Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit.
