The Riviera Nayarit was promoted as a Stand Up Paddle destination during the Pacific Paddle Games 2015, which took place in the Doheny Beach State Park in Dana Point, California, in early October.
The participation of the Destination was part of the promotional efforts by the Joint Promotional Campaign with Puerto Vallarta under the aegis of the Mexico Tourism Board in Los Angeles.
Dozens of professional athletes ages 12 to 50+ were present at the event along with five thousand spectators who showed up to enjoy this trendy sport.
The Magic Town of Sayulita, the Surf Capital of the Riviera Nayarit, was one of the most talked about hotspots, though Punta de Mita, San Blas, Yelapa and Vallarta were also a huge part of the queries.
The Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta booth offered information about the regional hotels and the many natural attractions that can be enjoyed in Banderas Bay and the tourism corridor between the destinations.
