The Riviera Nayarit: Inspiration For A Wedding Dress
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts joined forces with Marchesa to present a collection of wedding gowns inspired by four destinations where the hotel chain has properties—the Riviera Nayarit was one of those chose, specifically, Punta Mita, Mexico’s most exclusive development.
British fashion designers Georgina Chapman and Karen Craig were the creators behind the Marchesa Bridal Capsule Collection, which presents an appreciation for world cultures through their use of jewelry, embroidery and cuts, taking into account the spirit and essence of each destination.
Brides interested in acquiring one of these works of art can do so at prices of anywhere from $20,000 to $50,000 USD; they will also be attended personally by designers Chapman and Craig, who will welcome them to Manhattan in order to personalize their gown.
The design created for the St. Regis Punta displays the best of the Riviera Nayarit’s bountiful nature. Elegant, delicate and lighthearted, it’s ideal for a wedding on the beaches of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure. Elements alluding to the “wild waters, the exuberant tropical flowers and fantastic animals” of the region have been incorporated into the gown.
The other three destinations included in the presentation last September were the St. Regis resorts in New York, Dubai and Mumbai.
