Brazil’s Top Tour Operators Visit The Region
- Eleven travel agents including managers, directors, account executives and consultants traveled through the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta in order to better sell destinations in Brazil.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust (Fidetur) hosted a FAM trip for Brazilian travel agents in order provide them with the best sales tools available and thus increase visitors from that nation.
The attendees, who were invited as part of the Joint Campaign Promotion by the destinations, were members of the top two Tour Operator accounts in Brazil: Agaxtur and New Age.
“These promotional activities must be continuous and with an eye on both medium- and long-term results,” commented Marc Murphy, Managing Director for the Riviera Nayarit CVB. “The more knowledge and sales tools we provide our South American agents, the sooner we’ll have a bigger influx of tourists from the emerging countries we’re looking to bring in.”
The group was comprised of 11 people including managers, directors, account executives and consultants, all part of Agaxtur and New Age, plus one representative from Aeroméxico.
After their tour of Puerto Vallarta they continued north along the bay to visit several hotels in Nuevo Vallarta and Punta de Mita. They also enjoyed ecotourism adventures such as zip lining with a spectacular view of Punta de Mita and the Islas Marietas in the background.
In Sayulita they balanced on a surfboard, while in San Pancho they toured the cultural highlights of the town. Their trip was accompanied by the region’s best culinary delights. All the participants declared they were delighted with their experience.
