10th Rincón De Guayabitos Cultural Arts Festival
- Every Saturday night in February it’s all about cultural arts at the main plaza in Guayabitos, where everyone’s welcome to enjoy a variety of top-notch presentations.
The Guayabitos Hotel and Motel Association, together with the Nayarit Cultural Arts Center (CECAN, by its acronym in Spanish) invite one and all to the 10th Rincón de Guayabitos Cultural Arts Festival.
Following tradition, this series of events will take place every Saturday during the month of February 2015.
The presentations begin at 8 p.m. on the dot at this seaside village’s main plaza and the invitation is open to all neighboring towns, as well as tourists and residents.
The Grupo de Danza Nayar is scheduled to kick off the festivities on Saturday the 7th; the Falsa Orquesta Cubana will fill the night with music on the 14th; then on the 21st the Violines Internacionales Hermanos Aguascalientes will take over. Last but not least, the Circo Dragón will put on a show on February 28th.
Over 70% of the visitors to Rincón de Guayabitos are nationals, but there are a growing number of international tourists, mainly Canadians, whose presence in that region already surpasses 20%.
This percentage is a result of the 2014 Annual Visitor Research Report conducted by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau.
Just as Bucerías and San Blas have reaped the rewards of opening their doors to welcome all to their Patron Saint Feasts, the Guayabitos Festival is also very important for this area of the Riviera Nayarit, as these events serve to grow the number of visitors, thus increasing revenue that will benefit the people of Nayarit.
