Viva Magazine Showcases The Riviera Nayarit In The UK

  • This prestigious high society magazine dedicated six pages to the destination in their print edition as well as their website, where they went into detail about all the options offered by the destination, showcasing its appeal to socialites and celebrities.

The public relations efforts put forth by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) hit the media target for the British market thanks to Viva Magazine, a prestigious luxury magazine in the UK that highlighted the best of the destination for their high society readers.

The lengthy article was titled “Riviera Nayarit: Mexico’s new holiday destination on the Pacific Coast.” In their description they made observations on the destination’s strong appeal with socialites and celebrities while detailing the options offered by the many micro destinations.

Initially there were only going to dedicate four pages to the destination in the print edition of the magazine, but the publisher decided to extend it to six pages plus a post on their Internet portal, thanks to the amount and quality of the information they obtained during their visit last August.

This medium is distributed mainly in the high society areas of Manchester and London; this is why their focus on the positioning the Riviera Nayarit has gained among celebrities and socialites was so important.

As if this weren’t enough, the excellent return on investment received is diametrically opposed to the initial investment: the commercial value of this exposure is valued at over 67 thousand pounds (over one million Mexican pesos).

The demographics of the magazine include readers between the ages of 25 and 45, well educated in worldwide trends, with high purchasing power and very good taste in travel. The 60 thousand issues published twice-yearly include topics such as travel, fashion, beauty and lifestyle and they have over 20 thousand unique monthly visits to its website.

This work serves to reinforce the direct flights from Manchester and London that have been very popular with the British tourist.
