The efforts being made by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit to attract new markets in order to benefit the People of Nayarit have started to pay off, as Travel Depot, one of the largest wholesale travel retailers in Colombia has recognized the potential of our destination and is interested in promoting it.
“After touring the different touristic points of interest in Riviera Nayarit, I believe that they could easily become a highly sought-after destination for the Colombian market, as it offers all the comfort requirements for tourists: excellent gastronomy, beaches, and mostly, a number of appealing features that allow tourists to experience the Mexican culture”, said the General Manager of Travel Depot, Juan Carlos Camacho.
The strong interest of Travel Depot is the result of the familiarization trip organized by the CVB of Riviera Nayarit, together with Aeromexico and the tour operator Mexitour, which took place last October 22 to 25, in order to use the connections offered by this airline to our destination, which generate a larger number of tourists.
“One of the objectives we’ve defined for the CVB of Riviera Nayarit for this 2011 is to find new niche markets. The opportunities that are being created with Travel Depot are incredibly appealing because they allow us to promote not only sun and beaches, but also other aspects and regions of our destination, which is dotted by small towns along its 186 miles of beaches, as well as a cultural, historic and traditional wealth”, said the President of the CVB, Fernando González Ortega.
The marketing efforts being made by the CVB of Riviera Nayarit and the search for new markets have been a priority this year, and are now paying off with results like this one, which allow us to improve the quality of life of all the people of Nayarit by reactivating the regional economy and linking the productive chains already present in our State, therefore generating wellness for the People.
