Riviera Nayarit is promoted in national media as an ‘in vogue’ destination

·   Mexican journalist Pedro Ferriz broadcasted his morning news radio show from  the Mexican Pacific Treasure, while hosting the International Forum of the Apparel Industry, which will combine the 35th National Congress of the CANAIVE and the 27thWorld Convention of the International Apparel Federation (IAF)

Riviera Nayarit is ‘in vogue’ and that is being promoted by national media as the destination is hosting the International Forum of the Apparel Industry, under the slogan “The Transformation of the of Fashion Business”, which will bring together the 35th National Congress of the National Chamber of the Clothing Industry (CANAIVE) and the 27th World Convention of the International Apparel Federation (IAF).
Mexican journalist Pedro Ferriz broadcasted his morning news radio show this Thursday October 13th from  Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit in order to cover the important Fashion Business reunion. Also national newspapers El Universal, El Financiero and El Economista are giving coverage to the event.
Official inaugural ceremony will take place this Friday October 14that 9:00 am, and will be attended by important personalities such as the Secretary of Economy, Bruno Ferrari García de Alba, and IAF President, Harry Van Dalfsden, side by side with the leaders of Fashion Industry in México.
About 600 executives related to the fashion industry are visiting the destination between October 13 and 16 to discuss the new trends in the industry at the Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. The event will bring together leading entrepreneurs, both domestic and international decision makers, leaders in sectors such as fibers, textiles, leather and footwear, prestigious academics, opinion leaders, consultants and specialists in economic and market trends, which will make this forum the ideal place to generate business meetings.
The Convention and Visitors Bureau of Riviera Nayarit has put the events and conventions segment as a priority within the framework of promoting our destination, as it realizes that these contribute directly to selling hotel nights and in achieving the objectives defined by the State Government headed by Roberto Sandoval, in order to attract tourism to benefit the people of Nayarit.
Moreover, a successful convention will become a mouth-to-mouth marketing asset as attendees, who are usually opinion leaders, return home and share their experience in Riviera Nayarit, attracting new visitors.
Tourism is undoubtedly one of the instruments that generate the greatest social and economic development both in the communities that make this activity a priority. Out of 2,500 municipalities in Mexico, there are 70 that are fully identified with tourism, and in these places, the quality of life of its people is better when compared with other locations. Therefore, the OCV of Riviera Nayarit has joined the State Government’s efforts to attract more tourists in order to benefit all the people of Nayarit.
