Women’s fashion designs are inspired in Sayulita

  • Bathing suits, beachwear, day and evening dresses and huarache sandals inspired by the Magical Town and Surf Capital of the Riviera Nayarit.

Sayulita has been all over the international media in the past few years, to the point that it has inspired quite a few designs in the fashion arena. Bikinis, beachwear, day and evening dresses and huaraches (sandals) are just a few of the products that have recently been announced online.

Designer Tori Praver and her homonymous bikini line launched two new one-piece suits, great for hitting the waves in the Riviera Nayarit’s Capital of Surf.

Reformation, a women’s clothing brand with an eco-conscience flair, was founded by Yael Aflalo and Chi Bui out of Los Angeles. This brand launched a mini dress in a light-colored flower pattern and another in black, for a more elegant look.

Apiece Apart created another two dresses, one for the day at the beach and the other ideal for a romantic evening dinner.

Designer Yuki Matsuda collaborated with Chamula, a brand of hand woven huaraches made by Mexican artisans, and launched a very traditional style that speaks to the culture of Mexico. The product is being sold under the Madewell brand.

The above-mentioned pieces can be found at the online store Lyst.com, one of the largest and most popular on the planet, and ShopBop.com, another online store with a tremendous international reach.
