A successful week of promotional work in El Bajío for the Riviera Nayarit
- The promotional tour visited five cities in this region to strengthen the destination’s presence and its tourism product before the summer season.
The Riviera Nayarit Promotional Caravan through the Bajio region, carried out by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) from April 26 to 30, visited five cities, trained 200 travel agents, and showcased 12 hotels.
The caravan toured the main cities of origin of domestic tourists to our region: Morelia, Michoacán; Querétaro, Querétaro; San Luis Potosí, SLP; Aguascalientes, Aguascalientes and León, Guanajuato.
Forty travel agents from each of the cities participated in the events, where they received updates on the Riviera Nayarit and its tourism product. The agents heard about the destination’s first-class hotel infrastructure, magnificent scenery, a perfect combination of luxury and nature, and much more.
The region’s top wholesale companies and business partners were also present, including IMACOP, Record Vacation, Naturleon, Grupo FPV, System, and La Operadora.
In addition, the Riviera Nayarit’s hotel partners were there to support and share with travel agents the latest news, promotions, and attractions for the summer season. Participating hotels included: AM Resorts; B Nayar; Decameron Hotels; Grand Matlali Hills; Grand Palladium Vallarta; Hard Rock Vallarta; Krystal Grand Nuevo Vallarta; Maraica San Pancho; Marival Group; Paradise Village; Samba Vallarta, and Villa Varadero.
AM Resorts’ participation was particularly noteworthy. The representative shared information about Dreams Villamagna and the new Secrets Bahía Mita and Dreams Bahía Mita, two properties that will open this summer in the area of Punta de Mita (Destiladeras) and are already contributing to the promotion of the destination with special opening rates.
Of note is the fact that all the seminars were held outdoors with social distancing and following the biosecurity protocols implemented by the Ministry of Health of the Federal Government to deal with COVID-19.
THE BAJÍO REGION
These actions are essential because the Bajío, Central, and Western regions of the country are natural markets for the Riviera Nayarit. They generate a little more than 35% of the national visitors to the destination. The participating hotels expect immediate results, which will show up in the occupancy of the next vacation season.
The Bajío region has had excellent economic, urban, and social development for a long time, which has resulted in high quality of life, currently above the average in Mexico. This set of circumstances has also led to the region’s cultural importance, both on the national and international scene.
Currently there are direct flights to the Riviera Nayarit from Queretaro, San Luis Potosi, and Aguascalientes, via the Bajío airport.
The Riviera Nayarit is a safe destination. Our hotels, restaurants, and tourist establishments follow all the health protocols established by the Federal Government’s Ministry of Health and operate at the allowed capacities. Access to the beaches is limited. Be a responsible tourist: wear your mask and keep your distance.
We’re ready!
