The Riviera Nayarit’s Positioning In Mexico Continues To Rise
- The Destination was presented before 80 different media in all its glory via its Cuisine, Mixology and Fashion, the latter a newcomer in the lineup with the “Wixáricas” collection by Aline Moreno.
The Public Relations department of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau was in Mexico City in early July to continue its diffusion efforts, which succeeded in increasing the positioning of the Destination both in the capital city and nationwide.
“A decade ago the Destination was a ‘diamond in the rough,’ today we see how it has been polished in a way that amply satisfies several tourism sectors,” commented Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit CVB. “The best part is that it continues to have an extensive margin for growth and development in a very positive way.”
The press conference was headed by the Riviera Nayarit CVB’s Managing Director and was attended by 80 different media that received the latest updates and data on the Destination for the first semester of 2015.
Betty Vázquez, the Riviera Nayarit’s Culinary Ambassador and Israel Díaz, the Destination’s Mixology Ambassador, were also present and delighted the attendees with their creations.
A new element—Fashion—was added on this occasion to the Cuisine and the Mixology of the Destination. Designer Aline Moreno presented her new haute couture collection named “Wixáricas,” which is inspired by the ancient Huichol culture.
The runway was presented during the Fashion Cocktail in Mexico City before some 400 celebrities, journalists and special guests. Last week, the same collection was also featured at the Intermoda event in Guadalajara.
Thanks to these Public Relations efforts, the Riviera Nayarit has secured nationwide attention as an ever-evolving destination, both diversified and with much potential for growth.
