East Coast Road Show A Complete Success
- Over 300 travel agents received training and updates on the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta accompanied by 12 of the tourism corridor’s hotels, six tour operators and one airline.
Spurred on by the success of the West Coast Tour, a second Joint Promotional Tour by the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta took place on the East Coast, specifically in New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Atlanta.
The Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and its Promotion and Sales Department joined with the Puerto Vallarta Tourism Trust for an intense round of seminars and presentations from October 12-15, 2015.
“The East Coast of the United States needs a little more work than the West Coast, simply because it’s farther away, but there are also direct flights to the area. Even though the cities are not in the Top 10, they do show up in our statistics as continual tourists,” said Marc Murphy, Managing Director of the Riviera Nayarit CVB.
Over 300 travel agents received training and updates on the Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta. Twelve hotels from the tourism corridor, six associated Tour Operators and one airline also accompanied the team.
Sixty agents enjoyed a seminar in Long Island, New York, followed by the same number in Philadelphia, where an additional 65 agents from Apple Vacations and 40 agents from Travel Impressions were also part of the event.
These were followed by seminars in Washington D.C. for 50 travel agents and, finally, one in Atlanta for an equal number of attendees.
Tour Operators American Airlines Vacations, Classic Vacations, Delta/MLT Vacations, Funjet Vacations, Pleasant Holidays and Travel Impressions joined the team, and Aeroméxico represented the airline portion of the committee.
