The Riviera Nayarit glitters in the high-end luxury segment
- The CVB was part of the Virtual Virtuoso Travel Week Latin America, Brazil & Caribbean that included the participation of 150 luxury travel advisors.
The Riviera Nayarit shone brightly during the Virtuoso Travel Week Latin America, Brazil & Caribbean, the world’s largest luxury travel conference, held for the first time via virtual platform from December 9-10, 2020.
This yearly event is usually hosted in a luxury property in Las Vegas, but this year was different due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Instead, industry leaders commented on the future of travel from their home offices.
The virtual event included the participation of 150 advisors (among them, travel agency owners) dedicated to the high-end luxury segment in 15 countries in Latin America, Brazil, and the Caribbean.
A Virtuoso Destination
The Riviera Nayarit, in its capacity as a Virtuoso destination, participated in meetings with 40 travel advisors from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, and Mexico. The meetings lasted 10 minutes each, during which time the team presented the destination’s premier product offer for the high purchasing power segment.
The destination currently has five hotels associated with this consortium: Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita, Hotel Boutique Imanta Resorts y One & Only Mandarina.
Of note is the fact that several of the agents attending the meetings commented on the ease of selling these properties to their clients thanks to their high-quality service and, above all, the exclusivity they offer guests seeking precisely that, not to mention the beauty of the natural surroundings and the beaches.
It’s also interesting to see the success that the destination’s newest hotels, such as the One&Only Mandarina and the Conrad Punta de Mita, are having within the high-end domestic market, which customarily traveled abroad but is now restricted due to the pandemic.
