The Riviera Nayarit extends an invite to the 1st Bahía Surf Swap Eco-Tianguis
- This new marketplace concept based on barter, health, and ecology will be held on November 29th in the Riviera Nayarit.
The Riviera Nayarit is extending an invite to the first Bahía Surf Swap Eco-Tianguis, a new marketplace concept based on barter, health, and ecology to be held on Sunday, November 29th starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Marina Nuevo Vallarta.
Organizer Diego Tron said the event’s main objective is to spark environmental awareness in the Banderas Bay community by offering functional alternatives to avoid pollution.
He said the intention is for everything that’s presented at the eco-tianguis to be toxic chemical- and pesticide-free, favoring organic, vegan, and plastic-free items, especially for surfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddle).
“The idea is to help reduce the environmental impact in the entire Banderas Bay,” added Tron.
What’s there?
The Bay-wide Surf Swap Eco-Tianguis will offer gastronomy (food and beverage), surf paraphernalia, and handicrafts, all regionally produced. There will also be interactive presentations, as well as practical workshops and chats on ecology and environmental awareness.
The main event will be the SUP races, focused on collecting plastic waste from the beaches and creating awareness re: single-use plastics.
