1st Annual Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta Golf Tour a success
- The Riviera Nayarit and the Norman Signature Golf Course exceeded expectations during an event that marked the start of Grupo Vidanta’s 45th anniversary celebrations.
Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta’s grand infrastructure and the beauty of its Norman Signature golf course were on display during the 1st Annual Golf Tournament held in the Riviera Nayarit from May 3-5 as part of Grupo Vidanta’s 45thanniversary celebrations.
For three days the course, designed by famous Australian golfer Greg Norman, served as the stage for fans of this passionate sport to Stroke Play 36 holes.
The awards ceremony was led by Vidanta Golf Director Jesús Torres and Jesús Carmona Jiménez, president of the Bahía de Banderas Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB) and the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB). The participating sponsors were very pleased and happy with the results.
The players admired the challenging course and its excellent design as well as the top-notch service offered by Grupo Vidanta. They were also delighted with the trophies, which were works of art created by the Huichol artists from the state of Nayarit and sponsored by the AHMBB and the CVB.

A first event that exceeded expectations
Jesús Torres said it was a very pleasant surprise to have welcomed 92 golfers, which exceeded their expectations when planning the event. Participants included golfers from Nayarit, Guadalajara, Colima, and Guanajuato, as well as Paraguay and Colombia.
“We’re very proud, not only for us, but also for our top sponsor, the Riviera Nayarit; I’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate the golf team at Vidanta Golf Nuevo Vallarta for the operation and maintenance of the course,” he added.
