Sports Events Dominate The Riviera Nayarit In March

March 2017 is fast approaching and the Groups and Events desk of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau is already rounding up details on the various events set to take place this third month of the year. Here’s a quick look at each one:
3rd Bahía Cup (March 2-5)
Children, teens and their families will enjoy this tournament featuring Mexico’s most beloved sport: soccer. There are cash prizes as well as visors with professional team logos.
SUP State Competition (March 3-5)
For the second time San Pancho will host the SUP state competition to select athletes from Nayarit, which historically make up the base of the national team in this particular sport.
XII Westmex International Small Boat Regatta (March 9-12)
The Vallarta Yacht Club in Nuevo Vallarta is happy to welcome this regatta once again; it’s considered one of the top five regattas in the Mexican Circuit by the associations in the Optimist, Laser, Windsurf and 420 classes.
Puerto de Chacala Music Festival (March 9-12)
With something for everyone, this artistic and cultural event is a four-day celebration for locals and visitors alike to enjoy music, good food, a fun atmosphere and plenty of beach time.
6th Batizado Capoeira Art Festival (March 9-12)
The history of this martial art of Brazilian origin continues in San Pancho. World-class masters will be on-hand to share their knowledge in classes, workshops, conferences and the grand graduation ceremony.
18th Guayafest 2017 (March 11 and 12)
About 300 of these German-designed cars will converge on the streets of Guayabitos during this family-oriented event, among them Bugs, combis and other retro styles.
6th Martial Arts Open “Titans of the Pacific” (March 18)
This is a grand national qualifying championship from WAKO Mexico’s Nuevo Vallarta branch for more than 200 children, teens and adults from around the country to compete in different martial arts.
II Roxy Fitness Riviera Nayarit (March 18 and 19)
Running + SUP + Yoga! This is the most awaited event by active ladies who like to take care of their health and body. The objective is to gather over 1,000 participants in Nuevo Vallarta.
The San Pancho Children’s Circus (March 22-25)
Talented children and teens from the Riviera Nayarit will engage in circus acts of the highest caliber in the town of San Pancho under the watchful direction of Gilles Ste-Croix, co-founder of the Cirque du Soleil.
7th National Cheerleader Competition (March 24 and 25)
The 2017 National APEN All Star Mexico Competition is back for its seventh year in the Riviera Nayarit. Approximately 20 teams from different states around the nation will show off their talent in categories including Choreography or Dance and Acrobatics.
