Chef Betty Vázquez Promotes The Cuisine Of The Riviera Nayarit
- This week, the “Yo Soy Mexicano” (“I Am Mexican”) social media accounts belonging to the Presidency of the Republic’s joint project with the citizens of Mexico will be managed by Chef Betty Vázquez; in a private cooking class for the participants of Master Chef México, Betty continued to uphold the cuisine of San Blas and the Riviera Nayarit.
The Riviera Nayarit’s Gastronomy is already one of the Destination’s premier tourist attractions, but when Chef Betty Vázquez, the Riviera Nayarit’s Culinary Ambassador, goes on stage, she promotes it like no other.
“I’m so grateful for where I live, and through dreaming and working I have achieved my goals. It’s time we dreamed together and take on even bigger challenges,” wrote Betty Vázquez on social media. As always, her excellent disposition goes hand in hand with the promotion of San Blas, the Riviera Nayarit and Mexico.

Master Chef México
Betty Vázquez offered an hour- and thirty-minute long class on Master Chef México, during which San Blas and the Riviera Nayarit were her constant companions as she explained to the participants of the reality show how to prepare three types of ceviche, a seafood soup known as Taxthuile, and smoked fish—all traditional dishes from the coast of Nayarit.
“Welcome to my little piece of ocean flavor,” she began. “I live in the state of Nayarit on a marvelous coastline. I work in the Port of San Blas, in a family business that my parents began 37 years ago, but above all, I am proud to be from Nayarit and from our beautiful country of Mexico.”
