Discovery Channel Will Broadcast A Program On The Riviera Nayarit

  • Next November 6th at 7:30 a.m. (Central Mexico time) a program showcasing the charms of the Riviera Nayarit will be broadcast to over 100 million homes around the world.

As a result of the public relations efforts of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) there was a television program coordinated in June that will air this coming November 6th at 7:30 a.m. (Central Mexico time) on the Discovery Channel.

The Savvy Stews, Gailen David and Bobby Laurie produced the program with special guest Jessica Reyes, host of The Daily Buzz; the show already aired on September 9th on www.savvystews.tv.

The success of the show led to the Discovery Channel broadcasting it out to over 100 million homes around the world, which will now have the chance to see the charms of the Riviera Nayarit.

The program’s producer, Patricia Kay Broughton, was thankful and satisfied with the results. She was especially interested in Huichol art, the Islas Marietas and Entre Amigos in San Pancho.

“The trip to the Riviera Nayarit was a complete success, thanks above all to the support of the CVB, their knowledge of the destination and their ability to make additional arrangements and find a way to get the film crew what they needed,” commented the producer.

During their tour they took part in ecotourism activities, enjoyed a Huichol art class, got to know the legendary Tail of the Whale hole at Punta Mita and visited Nuevo Vallarta, Bucerías, La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, the Islas Marietas, San Pancho and, last but not least,  Sayulita.

The Savvy Stews website has over 700 thousand unique visitors per month but over 1 million total visits per month; they also have 21 thousand followers on Facebook and 43 thousand on Twitter.

The program focuses on travel and tourism, positioning itself as a trendsetter for travelers. It was an excellent decision to bring this TV production to the region thanks to its relationship with Discovery Channel’s “Destinations America” and its worldwide broadcast coverage.
