The Riviera Nayarit confirms its status as a Preferred Virtuoso Destination
- There are four luxury properties in Mexico’s Pacific Treasure with that denomination, plus one more in “preview.”
The Riviera Nayarit has regained its coveted Virtuoso Preferred Destination designation, a distinction awarded in part for its privileged luxury offer and strong commitment to sustainability.
This tourist destination is currently home to four Virtuoso properties: Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita; Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, Imanta Resort Punta de Mita, and The St. Regis Punta Mita Resort, as well as the new One & Only, available as a “preview” in its program as it doesn’t open until June 2020.

According to the latest Virtuoso survey in late 2019, luxury travelers prefer beach destinations. Among the main reasons for choosing their favorites is the variety of accommodations offered.
This is one of the reasons the Riviera Nayarit placed among the Top 5 favorite vacation destinations for premium travelers. The same survey highlighted the most sought-after travel experiences by travelers as: experiences with local cultures, exclusive experiences, culinary experiences, tours with locals, and romantic experiences.
