Riviera Nayarit renews alliances in South America at the Vitrina Turística ANATO trade fair
- Mexico’s Pacific Treasure participated successfully in the 39th edition of South America’s top trade show held in Bogota, Colombia.
The Riviera Nayarit presented its offer at the Tourist Showcase of the National Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies of Colombia (ANATO), one of the region’s most important travel trade fairs, where the team met with a packed itinerary of top wholesalers, travel agents, and airlines from Colombia and neighboring South American countries.
These promotional actions are meant to continue strengthening the diversification of the markets of origin to this destination, as well as to renew alliances with top commercial partners in Colombia.
The fair began on Wednesday, February 26th and ended on the 28th; the activities revolved around the ANATO, hosted at the Bogota-Corferias International Business and Expo Center, where the Riviera Nayarit held over 30 business meetings and one joint presentation with Vallarta to travel agents called in by Interjet, an airline that’s strengthening its connectivity from Colombia to the region. Currently, the airline operates three daily flights from Bogotá and one from Medellín to Mexico City; Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit is currently among the top three most important connecting destinations.
Meanwhile, Copa Airlines’ direct Panama-Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit flight has allowed the South American market to increase, with Colombia and Argentina generating the highest number of visitors to the region. This connectivity has augmented the tourist product currently managed by wholesalers; thus, the importance of continuity to help boost sales.
In this manner, the destination confirmed its support to continue promotions with its Colombia-based representatives. Even though the Riviera Nayarit is a strong destination within the domestic market, the United States, Canada, and the European and South American markets—each of which has its own particular characteristics of consumption and travel—continuity in promoting the region’s benefits is important.
In addition to meetings with the top wholesalers, airlines, and travel agencies, the team held work meetings with regional hotel reps who have offices in South America. This helped the team generate synergy and strengthen the business alliances that benefit the region.
The team contacted wholesalers Interjet, Interjet Vacations, HotelDo, Despegar, Price Agencies, Tu Reserva.Com, Travel Depot, Pelícanos, Solways, Turivel, CIC Mayorista, Solar, Viajes Éxito, All Reps, Viajes Alkosto, Mayorplus, Copa Airlines, and Aeroméxico, among others.
