Riviera Nayarit is the ideal incentive travel destination
Prevue magazine, one of the most important magazines in the event and convention segment presented an article on its March issue stating that Riviera Nayarit represents a destination with a great added value for incentive-based group tourism.
“Meeting organizers are able to get so much more for their budget in Riviera Nayarit. For incentives, the Mexican Pacific is different, exotic, and also convenient for groups in the United States. Furthermore, it’s more affordable than other international destinations”, said Eduardo Chaillo from the Mexican Council for the Promotion of Tourism (CPTM), in an article entitled “Pacific Mexico, Now”.
In fact, the article begins by describing a group of executives who are excited to begin a round of golf at the Golf Pacifico course, one of the two courses designed by Jack Nicklaus in Punta Mita. For author Dawna Robertson, few destinations are as inspiring as this spot in Riviera Nayarit, where one can find luxurious lodging options like the St. Regis Punta Mita and the excellent cuisine of its Carolina restaurant, which received the AAA Five Diamond Award.
“We have a group that has been coming back to Riviera Nayarit since 2005, and each year they’re eager to come back, particularly to Vallarta Palace. Choosing Riviera Nayarit gave us the flexibility of improving the level of service and to offer special rooms for VIP guests. The value is really there, in the quality of the services”, explains Pam Adams, manager of Incentive and Group Travel for TravelCorp International, a specialized agency based in New Orleans.
The work of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit aimed to attract incentive and convention tourism has allowed this destination to attain accelerated recognition in this field. A proof of this is that the segment has grown importantly in the last three years, growing from 2.5 to 5% of the total number of visitors.
Riviera Nayarit is a privileged destination where luxury is surrounded by nature, offering its visitors a magical experience that frees the senses and allows them to forget about stress. Its world-class infrastructure is renowned for its Spas, PGA-category golf courses and marinas with the best technology. However, it’s the warmth of its people and the quality of the services they offer what has earned this destination the nickname of Mexico’s Pacific Treasure.
