Punky returns to Riviera Nayarit

  • Celebrities that have visited Mexico’s Pacific Treasure are coming back to spend their winter vacations, and now it’s Soleil Moon Frye’s turn

In Riviera Nayaritluxury means magic, and it’s this same magic what makes visitors return frequently to our destination, just like the Olive Ridley turtles, which have chosen our beaches to lay their eggs. This 2012, actress Soleil Moon Frye, who played Punky Brewster in the 80s, will return to our destination.
Last June, Moon Frye posted an image in which she was spending a vacation with her family and with actor Eric Dane, who plays Dr. Mark Sloan in Grey’s Anatomy, sharing a fun vacation in Punta Mita. On January 3, Soleil made two tweets where she confirmed that she would be coming back to Riviera Nayarit.
Her first post read “Me in heaven on Earth! Thank you, Punta Mita, Mexico”, and then asked: “Me on vacation! Do I look relaxed?” Together with these images, the actress posted a photo of herself strolling along the beach.
Soleil Moon Frye shined in her childhood star role, and today is a screenwriter and film director, and she’s married with agent and promoter Jason Goldberg. Recently she published her book, Happy Chaos, where she recounts her stories as a mother.
The actress is in love with Riviera Nayarit, and has been seen in Punta Mita on numerous occasions, always referring to Punta Mita as “Heaven on Earth”.
In the past few months, Riviera Nayarit has become one of the favorite destinations for celebrities. During the winter break only, Charlie Sheen, Denise Richards, Sofia Vergara, Joan Riviers, Melisa Rivers and now Soleil Moon Frye have chosen our destination to spend their vacations.
The marketing work being done by the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) of Riviera Nayarit becomes evident by the visits of these celebrities, who are helping to position our destination as one of the best in the world by coming here. Hotels, restaurants, government officials, service providers and the society in general know how important it is to constantly improve the experience of those who visit our destination.

The CVB of Riviera Nayarit is a public non-profit association dedicated exclusively to the promotion of tourism through a brand that encompasses the entire coast of Nayarit – from its border with Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta to Novillero, in the border with Sonora – while marketing the historic and cultural features we have throughout the State.
