TripAdvisor Names Five Riviera Nayarit Hotels To Its GreenLeaders Program

If you’re looking for an environmentally friendly destination for your eco-conscious luxury clients you can now point them in the direction of the Riviera Nayarit with added confidence, thanks to TripAdvisor’s newest #green accolade program, aptly named GreenLeaders.
Riviera Nayarit’s GreenLeaders Program Hotels
We are proud to announce the five properties that have recently received this recognition:
· Hard Rock Hotel – Platinum Level
· Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit – Gold Level
· Royal Decameron Complex – Gold Level
· Hotelito Los Sueños – Silver Level
· Dreams Villamagna – Bronze Level
These resorts embody the eco-friendly hospitality practices that are at the core of the Riviera Nayarit’s tourism offering and all of these hotels offer at least 10% commission to agents.
What is the GreenLeaders Program?
The TripAdvisor GreenLeaders Program showcases properties committed to green practices like recycling; local and organic food; proper land, air and water management and other environmentally friendly actions. All potential GreenLeader properties must apply for the program. If accepted, they achieve one of four statuses: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. The higher the status, the greater the impact of a property’s green practices.
Each GreenLeader will have a badge on their TripAdvisor page that takes guests to the list of things they are doing to protect the environment. Guests are welcome to leave their thoughts on the hotel’s environmentally friendly practices on their TripAdvisor reviews.
14 Hotels Receive The Coveted “Certificate of Excellence”
The traditional Certificate of Excellence is the best possible indicator of traveler satisfaction, as the guests and their reviews are what determine who receives it. In 2015 there were a total of 14 hotels in the Riviera Nayarit awarded with this distinction by their guests.

The conservation of the destination’s natural bounty is at the heart of everything we do, and these new accolades are proof positive that our efforts are bearing fruit. The Riviera Nayarit already leads the way in Mexico with 10 Certified Clean Beaches plus a Blue Flag certification and is striving to achieve even more for the coming year, as well as being currently entered into the EarthCheck program.
