2021 Riviera Nayarit Fashion Weekend
- Prestigious Mexican designers presented their collections for the Fall-Winter season set against the spectacular backdrop of the W Punta de Mita hotel.
On September 10 and 11, the Mexican Pacific’s most fashionable destination became “the capital of fashion” during the 2021 Riviera Nayarit Fashion Weekend (RNFW). The event brought together the country’s most prestigious designers, celebrities, models, and influencers in the spectacular setting of the W Punta de Mita hotel.
Coinciding with the most important Fashion Weeks in the world, the RNFW showcased a dozen designers presenting their inspirations for the Fall-Winter 2021 season. The collections ranged from sexy swimwear and beachwear to elegant evening gowns with a marked boho-chic style and colorful ethnic touches.
The first day’s runway opened with R2 Fashion and its “Amazonia” collection. They set the stage for presentations by Passionarte, Regina Castillo, Ross Rivera, Velia Sierra, and Tara, with a grand finale by Carlos Pineda, considered the most important emerging designer in Mexico’s fashion industry.
On the second day, the style and glamour continued with the designs of Adriana Esquer, Ixchel Gallegos, Fer Espiritu, and the magnificent accessories of Diamond International. Nayarit designer Patricia Govea provided the “finishing touch” with her “Home” collection, a harmonious blend of colors, fabrics, and textures with hand-embroidered designs created by Wixárikas artisans mainly from Nayarit and Jalisco.
Strategic alliance
Manuel Macedo, managing director of the Riviera Nayarit Fashion Weekend, highlighted the strategic alliance with Riviera Nayarit to expand the brand. The RNFW achieved important national and international projection with this support, positioning it in the fashion world. The support of the W Punta de Mita and Marival Armony hotels, host venues for the event, is well worth mentioning. “Our goal is to make RNFW the most influential national firm in the production of Fashion Weeks in Mexico,” he said.
Currently, the RNFW has had a tremendous reach thanks to social networks and coverage on prestigious national and international media, including Televisa, Luvan, and Only Santa Fe. Prominent celebrities who support Mexican fashion were also in attendance, among them actress Michelle Vieth, famous for her soap opera “Mi pequeña traviesa;” singer Juan Duran, who recently presented his single “Once: Once;” singer Annia; actor Leonardo García; and influencers Marion Lanz-Duret and Mario Aguilar, to name a few.
The Riviera Nayarit is a safe destination.
