Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa: Luxury Reinvented
- The hotel, located within the Puerto Bahía development, is under renovation and is more vibrant than ever. Its five new towers, which house 80 junior suites, 20 suites, and various dining options, will open in October of this year.
Riviera Nayarit continues to enhance its luxury tourism offerings and welcomes new hotel investments in the Destination. This includes the re-launch of the Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa hotel, with the addition of 100 suites opening in the fall of this year.
With this upgrade, Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa heralds the continuity of the brand and the resort located within the Puerto Bahia master complex in La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, ushering in a new era of hospitality in the region.
Mr. Ramón Bernal, corporate director of the Grand Matlali Hills Hotel and Vacation Club, explained that the tourism sector growth for Grupo Autofin Monterrey and Autoser looks forward to attracting a target client who enjoys vacationing in an exclusive place, with privacy, nature, and the highest quality services in a world-class destination such as the Riviera Nayarit.
One with nature
Grand Matlali Hills Resort & Spa is surrounded by lush tropical jungle within a 30-hectare property that includes an additional 260 hectares reserved for future projects. Here, the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Pacific Ocean converge beautifully for the ultimate in rest and relaxation.
Rogelio Soria, Sales Manager, highlighted the former and added that the company’s great challenge is maintaining the hotel’s positioning as an independent brand, hence the changes and improvements underway at the property.
“We want to offer our clients comfort and relaxation, in direct contact with nature. At the same time, that from our current Villas and Master Suites, as well as the new suites, gastronomy, and relaxation areas, they can enjoy ecotourism activities in the mountains, on the beach, and spectacular views of the Bay of Banderas,” he said.
Meanwhile, Rodolfo Esparza, general manager, mentioned that the new facilities would feature three main restaurants, snack bars in the pools and jacuzzis, a rooftop bar, and a pool sky terrace exclusively for adults. Other services include a Bistro Deli, a Boutique tobacco shop, and the Eva Mandarina beach club. In addition to Grand Matlali Hills, the company will continue to operate its vacation clubs.
Last but not least, the executives highlighted the resort’s different environments: beach, jungle, gardens, and jungle trails with ample spaces for social distancing and privacy. The best thing is that it is close to everything: 5 minutes from La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, 10 minutes from Bucerías, 20 minutes from Sayulita, and 30 minutes from Puerto Vallarta’s international airport.
The hotel offer is growing
Marc Murphy, director of the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and the Banderas Bay Hotel and Motel Association (AHMBB), confirmed that the Destination is attracting national and international hotel groups that are contributing to its growth in terms of tourism products and services.
He was delighted that the Grand Matlali Hills brand is continuing and that the Marriott by Delta brand will also be in the Destination very soon. In other words, the Destination’s hotel offer is not only growing but also becoming more diversified.
“Congratulations to Grupo Autofin Monterrey Autoser, a Mexican company that has successfully diversified and has done very well in its incursion into the tourism sector. Even during the Covid-19 pandemic that is severely affecting the sector, it has managed to maintain its position and continues to trust in our Destination,” he added.
