Want to know what’s hot this summer in the Riviera Nayarit? Check out the list below for four awesome activities that are super fun for everyone. (Keep this list handy for your next vacay!)
Hiking in the great outdoors has become very popular in the Riviera Nayarit’s micro-destinations. It’s something the entire family can enjoy together, no matter what their age! Some of the top spots are the Cerro del Mono (Monkey Mountain), the Mirador del Toro (El Toro Outlook), and Malpaso. Secret beaches and incredible views await you at the end of your hike, not to mention great shots of the local flora and fauna.
SUP is an excellent alternative if you want to try something new and different with your family—it’s a fun test of balance and concentration. Check out Playa El Anclote for paddling while watching a fantastic sunrise or sunset. You can’t go wrong with either one!
Snorkeling is a popular pastime, and there are plenty of beaches around the Riviera Nayarit to take a dip. One of the hottest spots, though, is at the Islas Marietas. It’s a picture perfect paradise for this sport, plus the tour is gorgeous, and the fish are friendly. You can also head over to Isla Coral and visit the underwater statue right offshore or check out the reefs across from Lo de Marcos.
This tops the list of “musts” in Sayulita, San Pancho, and Punta de Mita (La Lancha beach). In fact, people flock to the Riviera Nayarit from all over Mexico and the world to surf these waves! There are a ton of surfing schools with user-friendly pros ready to teach you the ropes on the destination’s best breaks, no matter if you’re a newbie or you have it all down. You might also want to try the yoga-surf combo—there are camps set up just for that.
So, what do you think? Are you ready to try something new? Don’t forget to take lots of pics and use the #RivieraNayarit hashtag on your social media—we love seeing you enjoy our paradise!
